Two years after the Battle of Manhattan, Phobos the God of Fear has decided he would succeed where Kronos failed. He would be the one to bring Olympus and Camp Half-Blood crumbling. Times are tough for demi-gods as Rachel the new Oracle has been giving prophecies left and right. Phobos has half-bloods working for him on the inside and has even brought a few dangerous Gods to his side. Could they be getting closer to the next Great Prophecy?

Annabeth’s quest is complete and with some surprising events. The three have returned to camp with two extra bodies. One dead, the former brother of Sami Mitchell, Riley Mitchell son of Hermes. The other a very much alive Luke Castellan. Phobos convinced Riley to sacrifice himself, trading his soul for Luke’s. A son of Hermes for a son of Hermes. Phobos plotted to use Luke as his champion in future battles against Camp Half-Blood. Luke betrayed Phobos though and attacked, together with Percy they drove Phobos away and managed to travel, bringing an injured Nick back to Camp. Percy’s faith in Annabeth is shaken. He dreamed of Annabeth whispering Luke’s name and now that Luke is back he starts to doubt. Loyalties will be tested and old rivalries are brought back into play. Luke son of Hermes is back, and ready to make amends.
